Nov 11, · This is getting very irritating, the ps4 keeps saying "Derp can't download" and tells me that I need more space for downloads, specifically mb. And yet I have over 60 gigs. Any solutions? "Cannot download because there is not enough free space" Can anyone explain this amount of System Storage and why I can't download a small demo onto my PS4? Says I have GB/ GB full, says I have GB of Free Space, and says I can't download and install a GB game demo until I free up more space. I have over 70gb free, yet my PS4 is still saying there isn't enough free space to download a 3gb patch. So the 50gb theory isn't true.:(Nothing really to add to the discussion other than, if you're coming to this discussion from Google like I did, this issue is still happening, and it's really really frustrating.

Memory management in general is one of the biggest weaknesses of the PS4, ps4 cannot download not enough free space.

At first I could sort of force it to if the video was shorter smaller size by resetting the time 'last 15 minutes' and try save after 6 minutes.
Then 3 minutes. Smaller and smaller videos until now I can't even save a short half minute video. HD exactly at GB. Then I delete a few, and I can save a short ps4 cannot download not enough free space again. So basically saving increasingly smaller files until there was basically no space at all left put my real HD limit at about GB free. Kinda annoying on a GB model ;p.

Ive only found it while playing Fallout4, havent found ps4 cannot download not enough free space issue with other games, like witcher 3 or Killzone SF. Does it have a workaround? There also has to be a min amount left on the system, you can't use up every last gig, you need double the space for update, plus a certain amount of total gigs left on the system. PlayStation 4.
